Combining personal narratives and landscape metamorphoses observations, Transcendence investigates on the emergence of a resilience culture made up of alternative ways of living, low-tech, recently protected recovering ecosystems, as well as dubious techno-solutionist innovations. Inspired by her own doubts and reflexions, Cinzia Romanin depicted a young generation lost between eco-anxiety, modern confort and the desire to initiate deep changes. 

Through diverse visual experimentations and scenographic displays, as a lightbox, Cinzia Romanin’s glance invites to slow down, look around and reflect on our current and future decision impacts. By confronting the public with the fundamental dilemma of having to choose between the loss of our immediate comfort or our long-lasting well-being provided by our ecosystems, this project invites to reflect on questions such as : Even though the production of ‘green energy’ encourages environmental destruction through rare earth extraction, can we still believe that technology will save us ?
