Cinzia Romanin (1995) is a Belgian and Italian visual artist convinced of the importance of encouraging representations in a society increasingly governed by Anthropocene sceneries. For this reason, after completing a master degree in architecture (La Cambre Horta, Brussels) and working for its research department, she decided to continue her studies with another master degree in photography (IUAV, Venice). Highly concerned in the overlap of social, environmental and territorial dimensions, she since then regularly collaborates with museums, arts centres, schools, NGO and researchers by using (audio)visual medium as a democratic and reflective means of expression. Through various experiments carried out using her large-format analog camera and alternative printing techniques, her work aims to immerse the public in sensitive and committed worlds to reconsider ways of inhabiting tomorrow’s world.
